These Terms & Cancellation Policy (the “Terms”) apply to the use of this website and to all bookings and participation at Kyudo Experience Cafe in Kyoto and Harajuku. By sending a booking request or joining an experience, you agree to these Terms.
Our Service
Kyudo Experience Cafe offers a casual, beginner-friendly cultural introduction to Kyudo, the traditional Japanese art of archery. A standard session takes about 30 minutes and includes hakama rental, basic instruction from an instructor, a Japanese archery experience, photo time, and a drink.
The experience is a cultural activity designed for travelers — it is not a formal dojo lesson, rank examination, or certification course. Both locations are inside Ninja Experience Cafe.
Bookings
- A booking sent through this website is a request, not a confirmed reservation. Availability varies by location, date, time, and group size.
- Your reservation is confirmed only when you receive a confirmation message from us. Until then, please treat your booking as pending.
- Please make sure your contact details are entered correctly so that we can reach you.

- Date and time changes are handled as far as possible, subject to availability.
- If we must cancel your session for weather, safety, or operational reasons, we will offer a full refund or free rebooking.
Safety Rules
Kyudo uses a real bow and arrows. For everyone’s safety, please follow these rules.
- Always follow the instructor’s directions, and handle bows and arrows only when and where instructed.
- Shoot only in the designated area and direction.
- Participation by children is subject to age, height, and safety conditions ※要確認. Please ask before booking.
- Guests who appear intoxicated, or whose behavior risks the safety of others, may be asked to stop the experience without a refund.
- Please wear comfortable clothes that are easy to move in.
Photography
Photo time is part of the experience, and our staff will be happy to help you take pictures with your own camera or phone.
We may occasionally ask permission to take photos or videos for our website or social media. We use such images only with your prior consent, and declining never affects your participation. Please also be considerate of other guests when they appear in your own photos.
Liability
We give priority to safe operation at all times. To the extent permitted by Japanese law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for the loss of or damage to personal belongings, except where caused by our willful misconduct or negligence. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Japanese law.
Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms when our services or legal requirements change. The latest version is always published on this page and applies from the time it is posted.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms or the experience shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the district court having jurisdiction over the location of our operating company ※要確認.
